Addressing Stigma & Discrimination
In the initial phase of the pandemic, stigma and discrimination due to
COVID-19 became a common phenomenon. Besides the suspected and
confirmed cases and their families, other groups most affected by this were the Frontline Workers (FLWs). Due to the nature of their work, all cadres of
healthcare providers, sanitation workers and police had greater chances of being exposed to the virus.
