In January 2020, with the COVID-19 at a nascent stage, UNICEF engaged at multiple levels and was part of several groups and committees that co ordinated the pandemic response across the country. As the number of COVID-19 cases increased in early March 2020, the UNICEF Health Programme prepared a programme guidance note that detailed its preparedness and response plan.
